A compact event calendar for small spaces

The Tiles template shows each event as a small tile, so a whole set of upcoming events fits into very little room. It is made for places where a full calendar would not fit: a website sidebar, a footer, a featured events strip or a narrow column next to your main content. Visitors see what is coming up at a glance and click a tile to read more.

Above, you can switch between three examples built on the same template and the same Google Calendar events. Riverside Community Center is the minimal version: a warm, rounded style with just the essentials on each tile. Bloom Wellness Studio is the detailed version: a calm lavender and sage style with more information visible on the tiles. Out of the box is the unstyled default, so you can see what you get before you change a single setting.

    When to choose this layout

    • Space is tight, for example a sidebar or a narrow widget area.
    • You want a small “coming up” teaser alongside other content.
    • You want a calendar that adds a visual accent to the page without taking it over.

    How it behaves

Each event is a tile, and you choose what it shows, such as the date and the event name. Clicking a tile opens the full event details, including the description, location and add-to-calendar options. Tiles are a compact way to point visitors to your events, not a full calendar, so they have no month grid or calendar-wide controls. If visitors need to browse by date, see Monthly View. For a simple list that fits a narrow column, see Events List.

Tiles Event Calendar Widget: Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use the Tiles template?

When space is tight. Tiles are a compact way to show events, for example in a sidebar or a featured events strip.

Can Tiles show dates and names?

Yes, both can be shown or hidden. Visitors click a tile to see the full details.

Is Tiles a good choice as my main calendar?

It works best as a compact companion to your main calendar. For a full calendar page where visitors browse many events, a layout such as Monthly View, Cards Grid or Detailed List gives them more room.

    What is Revisual?

Revisual turns a Google Calendar into an event calendar you can put on your website. You keep managing events in Google Calendar, and Revisual displays them in a layout and style that matches your brand.

How does it work with Google Calendar?

You connect your calendar, choose a template and style it in the builder, then embed the calendar on your site. When you add or edit an event in Google Calendar, the calendar on your website updates automatically.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The layout, colors, fonts and behavior are all set in the builder. Embedding is a copy-and-paste step.

Can it match my website’s design?

Yes. You can inherit your site’s font, set your brand colors and card style, and choose which details visitors see, such as date, location, description, tags and buttons. The Riverside and Bloom examples above use the same template with very different looks.

Can I show more than one Google Calendar in one widget?

Yes. The Riverside example combines three separate Google Calendars (Workshops, Performances & Events, and Kids & Family) into one calendar.
