Cards grid
Social-style cards, several events at a glance.
A card-based event calendar built for browsing, not scrolling
This layout turns an event schedule into something visitors can scan visually, compare quickly, and explore at their own pace. Instead of making people read through a traditional list or month view, it displays your Google Calendar events as cards they can browse side by side, filter by category, and open for full details when something catches their eye.
Card-based designs work best when the decision to attend depends on more than the date. An image, title, category, and location let visitors compare several events at a glance, rather than opening each one individually to find out if it’s relevant.
Use the toggle above to compare three versions of the same Cards Grid calendar. Riverside Community Center combines three separate Google Calendars (Workshops, Performances & Events, and Kids & Family) into one widget and keeps each card minimal, just title and image, with everything else behind a click. Bloom Wellness Studio uses the identical layout but skips that click: cards show date, location, and description up front, with a “Book Now” button built into the card itself, plus filters and month navigation. Out of the box shows the same calendar with none of that styling applied: the look you get the moment you create a calendar. Everything that sets Riverside and Bloom apart is set in Revisual’s builder, with no code.
When to choose this layout
This card-based layout suits community event calendars, fitness class schedules, studio workshops, campus events, and other situations where visitors are comparing options rather than hunting for one specific listing. If you’re combining multiple Google Calendars into a single view and want people to browse by category, this design is built for that.
- Merge multiple Google Calendars into one widget, with category tag pills to tell them apart
- Built-in filter panel for narrowing a large event list by category
- Multi-column grid that reflows cleanly for mobile without turning into a wall of text
How it behaves
You can choose whether clicking a card opens a full event details popup or whether all the important information stays visible on the card itself. Configure it like Riverside’s, and a click opens a popup with the image, description, location and map, share options, and add-to-calendar, without leaving the page. Configure it like Bloom’s, and the card shows everything up front, with a direct booking button, while the popup stays available for the map, sharing and the full description.
Switch between the Riverside and Bloom examples above to see how the same event calendar template handles simple event discovery on one side and conversion-focused booking on the other. Cards Grid is one of several event calendar layouts available — worth comparing against the others if you’re not sure this display style fits your events yet.

Cards grid Event Calendar Widget: Frequently Asked Questions
When should I use the Cards Grid template?
When you have images and want visitors to browse many events at once on a desktop screen. Cards sit side by side with a title, image and, if you choose, date, location and tags.
Can the Cards Grid have filters and month navigation?
Yes. The Bloom example shows both. The Riverside example leaves them off to keep a small calendar simple.
What is Revisual?
Revisual turns a Google Calendar into an event calendar you can put on your website. You keep managing events in Google Calendar, and Revisual displays them in a layout and style that matches your brand.
How does it work with Google Calendar?
You connect your calendar, choose a template and style it in the builder, then embed the calendar on your site. When you add or edit an event in Google Calendar, the calendar on your website updates automatically.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The layout, colors, fonts and behavior are all set in the builder. Embedding is a copy-and-paste step.
Can it match my website’s design?
Yes. You can inherit your site’s font, set your brand colors and card style, and choose which details visitors see, such as date, location, description, tags and buttons. The Riverside and Bloom examples above use the same template with very different looks.
Can I show more than one Google Calendar in one widget?
Yes. The Riverside example combines three separate Google Calendars (Workshops, Performances & Events, and Kids & Family) into one calendar.
