A swipeable event calendar for mobile and homepages

The Cards Slider puts upcoming events in a single row of cards. Visitors swipe or scroll sideways, so it takes little vertical space and feels natural on a phone. It works well for a homepage highlight, a landing page or any spot where you want to show a handful of events without a full calendar.

Above, you can switch between three examples built on the same template and the same Google Calendar events. Riverside Community Center is the minimal version: a warm, rounded style where each card shows just an image and a title, and a click opens the full details in a pop-up. Bloom Wellness Studio is the detailed version: cards also show the date, location and a short description, with a booking button on each card. Out of the box is the unstyled default, so you can see what you get before you change a single setting.

    When to choose this layout

    • You want to feature a short, curated set of upcoming events, not the whole calendar.
    • Most of your visitors are on mobile and swiping feels more natural than scrolling a long page.
    • You have good images, because the card image carries a lot of the design.

    How it behaves

Cards sit in one row and visitors move through them by swiping or scrolling sideways. Clicking a card opens the full event details, including the description, location and add-to-calendar options. The slider has no filters or month navigation, which keeps it simple. If your calendar is larger or your visitors need to narrow it down, Cards Grid and Cards List use the same card design with room for more events.

Cards Slider Event Calendar Widget: Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use the Cards Slider template?

When you want to show a handful of events in a compact, swipeable row, for example on a homepage or a mobile-first page. It lets visitors browse a few upcoming events without taking much space on the page.

Does the Cards Slider support filters?

No. The slider is built for a short, curated set of events, so it has no filters or month navigation. For a larger calendar with filters, use Cards Grid or Cards List.

Can visitors see event details from the slider?

Yes. Clicking a card opens the full event details, such as the description, location and add-to-calendar options. The cards themselves can be minimal, with only an image and title as in the Riverside example, or more detailed, as in the Bloom example.

    What is Revisual?

Revisual turns a Google Calendar into an event calendar you can put on your website. You keep managing events in Google Calendar, and Revisual displays them in a layout and style that matches your brand.

How does it work with Google Calendar?

You connect your calendar, choose a template and style it in the builder, then embed the calendar on your site. When you add or edit an event in Google Calendar, the calendar on your website updates automatically.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The layout, colors, fonts and behavior are all set in the builder. Embedding is a copy-and-paste step.

Can it match my website’s design?

Yes. You can inherit your site’s font, set your brand colors and card style, and choose which details visitors see, such as date, location, description, tags and buttons. The Riverside and Bloom examples above use the same template with very different looks.

Can I show more than one Google Calendar in one widget?

Yes. The Riverside example combines three separate Google Calendars (Workshops, Performances & Events, and Kids & Family) into one calendar.
