A compact event list with almost no setup

The Events List is the most straightforward Revisual template: a clean, compact list of upcoming events, one per row. There are no grids or cards to configure, so it is quick to set up and easy for visitors to read. It suits small organizations, sidebars, text-heavy pages and anyone who just wants their next events on the website.

Above, you can switch between three examples built on the same template and the same Google Calendar events. Riverside Community Center is the minimal version: a warm, rounded style where details expand right in the list. Bloom Wellness Studio is the detailed version: a calm lavender and sage style where a click opens the full event in a pop-up. Out of the box is the unstyled default, so you can see what you get before you change a single setting.

    When to choose this layout

    • You want the simplest calendar that still looks polished.
    • You have few or no event images, so a list works better than cards.
    • The calendar sits in a narrow or text-heavy part of the page.

    How it behaves

Events appear in date order, one per row, showing the essentials such as date, title and time. Visitors can open an event to see the description, location and add-to-calendar options, either expanded inline or in a pop-up, depending on how you set it up. Filters and a month selector can be switched on if your calendar grows. If you want more room for descriptions and booking links, see Detailed List. For a more visual layout, see Cards List.

Events list Event Calendar Widget: Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use the Events List template?

When you want the simplest possible calendar: a compact list of upcoming events with little setup. It is a good starting point for small calendars and narrow spaces.

Can visitors open event details in the list?

Yes. Details can expand inline or open in a pop-up. The Riverside example expands inline and the Bloom example opens a pop-up.

What is the difference between Events List and Detailed List?

Events List is the compact version, with the essentials in one row per event. Detailed List gives each event more room for a description, location and call to action, which suits events that need to sell.

    What is Revisual?

Revisual turns a Google Calendar into an event calendar you can put on your website. You keep managing events in Google Calendar, and Revisual displays them in a layout and style that matches your brand.

How does it work with Google Calendar?

You connect your calendar, choose a template and style it in the builder, then embed the calendar on your site. When you add or edit an event in Google Calendar, the calendar on your website updates automatically.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The layout, colors, fonts and behavior are all set in the builder. Embedding is a copy-and-paste step.

Can it match my website’s design?

Yes. You can inherit your site’s font, set your brand colors and card style, and choose which details visitors see, such as date, location, description, tags and buttons. The Riverside and Bloom examples above use the same template with very different looks.

Can I show more than one Google Calendar in one widget?

Yes. The Riverside example combines three separate Google Calendars (Workshops, Performances & Events, and Kids & Family) into one calendar.
